Dr. Mario Laskaris is a 38 year old dentist from Chilliwack, BC. He was born on July 1, 1971 in Montreal, Canada. He was an excellent student with high academic achievements. Initially, he attended Concordia University, where he studied bachelors of Science in biology specializing in genes. He conducted a research on tumor suppressing genes, for which he was awarded NSERC, national research award. In 1993, he entered the faculty of dentistry at McGill University and completed his dental degree in 1998.
After completing his degree, he and his family moved to Penticton, where on July 1, 1998 he received the license to practice in British Columbia by the College of Dental Surgeons of BC. After practicing in Penticton for one year under the contract, Dr. Mario Laskaris shifted to Chilliwack. He is the founder and principal dentist of the Chilliwack dental Centre since June 1999. At his dental centre, he offers his clients the services of general dentistry for adults and children, including, oral surgery, implants, orthodontics, crown & bridgework, aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry, oral sedation, periodontal maintenance, and endodontic.
Apart from being a successful dental professional, he also enjoys playing soccer and is an active coach of youth soccer. He also involves himself in various community activities. Being an active member of the Chilliwack Mt. Cheam Rotary Club, he has participated in various charities and programs through the club like the Meals On Wheels Program for the needy, Polio Plus Worldwide Eradication Program, the Rotary Wheelchair Foundation for the Disadvantaged around the world, etc. He is also involved in many other community activities like working on 2 Rotary parks, CATT fund, Toys for Tots and Children’s Foundation fundraising. Dr. Mario Laskaris is married and a father of two and loves spending quality time with his family. |
